The drive
South from the airport, then east up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Short in miles and slow in minutes, because the canyon road climbs hard.
In winter
Little Cottonwood closes. UDOT runs avalanche control after heavy snow and the canyon can shut with no notice, sometimes for hours. There is also an interlodge protocol that keeps people indoors at the resort. We watch the UDOT feed and will hold, reroute, or rebook you rather than park you at a closed gate.
